1. Data controller

CoMotion House, trading under the company name Boreal Affairs, with registered office at Rua Quires, 1101, C2, 2.º Esq., 4470-812 Vila Nova da Telha, Maia, Portugal, tax number (NIF) 519613201, is the controller of your personal data.

2. What data we collect and why

We only collect the data you provide to us or that is necessary for the website to work.

  • Contact form — name, company (optional), email, message and area of interest. Purpose: to reply to your request and maintain communication about our services. To protect the form against spam, submitted data and IP address may be analysed by an automated filtering service.
  • Newsletter subscription — your email address. Purpose: to send you news and communications from CoMotion House, only after you confirm your subscription (double opt-in).
  • Usage analytics (Google Analytics) — online identifiers, browsing data (pages viewed, visit duration, device type) and approximate location (country/city). Purpose: aggregated statistics to improve the website. Only enabled with your consent.

We do not collect special categories of data or make automated decisions with legal effects concerning you. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time by sending a request to geral@comotionhouse.com, which will be handled within the legal time limits.

3. Legal basis

  • Contact form: your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to information requests and protecting the website against spam.
  • Newsletter: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Usage analytics: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are essential for the website to work and, with your consent, statistics cookies (Jetpack / WordPress.com statistics and Google Analytics). Their names, purposes and durations are listed in our Cookie Policy.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data to third parties. We use service providers (processors) that process it on our behalf and under contract:

  • Automattic, Inc. (WordPress.com) — website and database hosting, forms, email and newsletter sending, security and spam protection (Jetpack and Akismet).
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC — usage analytics (Google Analytics).

Each provider processes the data only according to our instructions and its own privacy policy.

6. International transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, namely in the United States of America. In such cases, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and/or by adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of protection.

7. How long we keep data

  • Contact data: for the period needed to reply and manage the relationship, up to 24 months after the last contact, unless a legal obligation requires a different period.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, at which point your email is deleted or anonymised.
  • Usage analytics: Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.

10. Security

We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords, restricted access to the administration area, backups and secure connections (HTTPS).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the top. Significant changes will be communicated through the website.
