2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. They can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period).
We also use technologies with the same purpose: scripts, small programs that make the website work and, if you allow it, measure its use; and pixels, invisible images used to count visits. In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as “cookies”.
3. Legal basis and consent
Essential cookies are necessary for the website to work securely and do not require consent, under Article 5 of Portuguese Law No. 41/2004 of 18 August. All others are only enabled after you accept them.
On your first visit, we show a window where you can accept, reject or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not limit access to content. Your choice is stored for 365 days; after that, we ask again.

Statistics cookies are set by Automattic (Jetpack / WordPress.com) and Google (Google Analytics). Processing by each is governed by its own privacy policy. We have enabled anonymisation and data minimisation options wherever available.
The website is hosted on WordPress.com (Automattic, Inc.), which uses its own security, spam protection and service statistics tools.
When these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, they do so with the safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

You can change your choice at any time, right here:
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; see your browser’s help section. If you block essential cookies, the website may not work properly. If you delete cookies, we will ask for your consent again on your next visit.
